Why Am I Doing This?

My girls all blog. They keep in touch this way and it also gives them a forum for venting!! (venting is useful when you have young children to raise)

Bobbi says I should do this, not so much to vent, but rather, to search my distant memory in order to tell them about the things I used to do, how it was growing up, and all that "stuff".

I am reluctant to begin--I don't even know how to insert a picture!!--let alone put in a short video clip! Maybe the girls will help the old codger figure out how to do the 'cute' things that make the blog neat. (I have always been a digital dipstick)
I have always loved using a camera to record things, and Bobbi had to talk like a Dutch Uncle to get me to discard the old Minolta, and begin the digital journey, but now it seems like it's the only way to go.

This is the start. With a little practice I know that I will begin to catch up with the kids, and they will wait with baited breath
(whatever that means) for my next installment.

'cept that was Dad writing that, devan. lol But I'm sure (I hope) we'll have some fun posts from mom, too.

I am so excited for this. I would love for it to be a place to see old pictures of you guys and to hear stories of your childhood and early marriage. And maybe even some empty nest treasures. ;)

So, get ready, get set, POST!

I am really excited to have you blogging too, Mom! We really miss you and this will be a great way to be there without really getting to be there. Love you!

I figured that was Dad, but didn't think he would actually blog til I saw Bobbi's comment. Sorry Dad, I think you'll be great at it, and you too, Mom. Think of this as a great journaling tool that you can share with your posterity. We are very excited to see it.

Ok...I thought the same thing that it was dad, but I didn't think he would do that so it had to be mom. I could tell by the writing. Well "Dad" good for you. :)
